Itinerary:

Day 1: Arrival in Cairo – Welcome to the Land of the Pharaohs

Upon arrival at Cairo International Airport, a tour guide will meet and assist you. Private air-conditioned vehicle takes you to the hotel. Your tour manager will later review your 7 Days Kemet and Nubia Tour itinerary and reconfirm all pickup times for all those exciting excursions you have lined up. The rest of the evening is free to either find your way around the zest-filled city or rest after your travels.


Day 2: Pyramids of Giza & Egyptian Museum

Have breakfast and begin your journey into history in the morning at the Giza Plateau. Be awed by the Great Pyramids of Giza: Khufu, Khafre, and Menkaure, a restatement of Egypt's glory. You may also see the Sphinx and the Valley Temple, where some of the ancient rites were performed. Lunch will be at an Egyptian-style restaurant, and then we continue to the Egyptian Museum in downtown Cairo, which holds one of the world's largest collections of artifacts, including Tutankhamun's treasures. We will return to the hotel for a relaxing evening after an interesting day of sightseeing.

Day 3: Fly to Aswan – Unfinished Obelisk, Philae Temple & High Dam

After breakfast, transfer to Cairo Airport for your flight to Aswan. Upon arrival, start your tour with a visit to the High Dam, a remarkable feat of modern engineering built to regulate the Nile’s waters and generate electricity. Next, head to Philae Temple, dedicated to Isis, the goddess of love and magic, beautifully relocated to Agilkia Island. Continue to the Unfinished Obelisk, the largest known ancient obelisk, which provides fascinating insights into ancient Egyptian stone-cutting techniques. After exploring these incredible sites, enjoy a delicious lunch at a traditional Nubian restaurant before transferring to your hotel in Aswan. The evening is yours to relax or explore the city at your leisure.

Day 4: Nubian Museum & Nubian Village Tour

Then take a traditional boat ride to a Nubian village, where you encounter the lively culture with colorful houses and warm welcomes by the locals. Walk around the village, go to a local home, and learn about Nubian culture before returning to your hotel to unwind for the evening.

Day 5: Kalabsha Temple, Temple of Dakka & Temple of Amada – Transfer to Abu Simbel

After breakfast, and now we set out on an expedition to some of the noteworthy Nubian temples. Start at Kalabsha, the temple dedicated to the Nubian god Mandulis, with impressive reliefs and inscriptions, and go on to the Temple of Dakka, which was built during the Ptolemaic age and further expanded by the Romans. Finally, reach out to the Temple of Amada. One of the oldest temples found in Nubia, this site is painted with the most vibrant colors among all temples. After completing your temple visits, you will drive to Abu Simbel, where you will check into your hotel and enjoy an evening at leisure.

Day 6: Abu Simbel Temples – Fly Back to Cairo

Early birds do catch the worm and witness the gorgeous temples of Abu Simbel at dawn. These gigantic rock temples are reminders of ancient Egyptian engineering and spirituality. Marvel at the delicate carving details, the huge statues, and the magnificent interiors of the Great Temple of Ramses II and the Temple of Queen Nefertari. After the visit, drive back to Aswan Airport for your flight to Cairo. Upon arrival in Cairo, you will be transferred by your representative from Around Egypt Tours to your hotel for one last night in Egypt.

Our tour prices are quoted in US dollars per person per trip, but you can also choose to pay in Euro or GBP. Please be aware that prices may fluctuate during Christmas, New Year, and Easter. We are committed to providing the lowest possible prices, and we keep our rates up-to-date. Once your Kemet and Nubia Tour is confirmed, we guarantee that no changes will be made to your rate from our side.

Tips for Departure:

On the final day of your Kemet and Nubia Tour, it is advisable to avoid booking any outgoing international flights before 3:00 pm. You may also consider extending your stay. Our Tour Leader is happy to assist you with arranging additional accommodation and transfers if required.

Children Policy:

- Infants (up to 2 years old): Free of charge when sharing with their parents.
- Children under 6 years old: Pay 25% of the adult rate when sharing a room with their parents and using an extra bed.
- Children under 12 years old: Pay 50% of the adult rate when sharing a room with their parents and using an extra bed.
- Children 12 years and older: Considered adults, paying full rates.
- This policy applies to one child sharing a room with their parents, with a maximum of one child allowed per room.

Kemet and Nubia Tour Payment Policy:

To ensure you secure the Kemet and Nubia Tour at the desired time, we recommend making a reservation early. To confirm your booking, a deposit of 25% is required. During peak seasons like Christmas and New Year, the deposit increases to 50%. This deposit will go toward your final payment, which is due one week before arrival or in cash upon arrival.

Installment Policy:

We offer a convenient installment payment option, allowing you to spread the cost of your Kemet and Nubia Tour over 6, 9, or 12 months. You can pay the remaining balance upon arrival in Egypt using cash or a credit/debit card. Alternatively, you can choose to pay the full amount in monthly installments before your trip begins.

Tipping:

Tipping is a common way of showing appreciation for exceptional service, although it is not mandatory. It is often seen as a gesture to acknowledge the dedication and effort of service providers. However, it's important to note that tipping should not replace an employer's obligation to provide fair compensation.

Cancellation Policy:

In the event of canceling your Kemet and Nubia Tour, the following charges apply:
- 61+ days before arrival: 10% of the total price.
- 31-60 days before arrival: 20% of the total price.
- 15-30 days before arrival: 50% of the total price.
- 1-14 days before arrival: 100% of the total price.

Please note that cancellation fees also apply to all domestic flights within Egypt.
