You will journey through the breathtaking Sinai desert in a specially dedicated 4-wheel-drive vehicle to explore some of the region's most renowned monuments. First, visit the historic St. Catherine’s Monastery, a Greek Orthodox site nestled in the heart of the Sinai Peninsula at an altitude of approximately 1,570 meters. Built during the sixth-century reign of Emperor Justinian I, the monastery stands at the foot of Mount Sinai, where Prophet Moses is said to have received the Ten Commandments. Then, look at the Colored Canyon, a stunning natural wonder renowned for its slender, curved valley of multicolored rock. Sandstone, limestone, and mineral salts pile up to create a palette of vivid colors, from crimson, gold, to purple. The canyon is perfect for short trips, photography, and exploration of its strange natural landscape.
